The Green Lung installation was featured at the opening reception of Green City Essen.
The installation artistically represents both the left and right human lungs, symbolizing the environment in urban areas. Visitors are invited to throw plastic bags into the lungs, which metaphorically restricts the "Green Lung's" ability to breathe.
This interaction highlights the role of consumption and its direct and indirect impact on the destruction of our environment. It encourages visitors to critically examine the issue of plastic waste and reconsider their use of, and attitudes toward, these materials.
