The installation Green Lung is an installation that was exhibited at the opening reception of the Green City Essen.
The Installation illustrates both the human left and the human right lung and shows the environment in urban areas metaphorically. Visitors may throw plastic bags in the lungs, causing an inhibition of of the »Green Lung’s« respiration.
This interaction elucidates consumption and the direct and indirect impact of humans on the destruction of our environment. Visitors are invited to critically face to the issue of »plastic materials« and rethink their use of and their attitude towards these materials.
